Firefly Red Deer Park
Firefly Red Deer Park has been in existence since 1989. Jane & John Hayes started out with small beginnings but soon realised that their Deer Farm needed to have that something extra. To this end it was decided to breed up to Stud status, initially with a Warnham/NZ cross stag but more recently with pure bred stags from Warnham Park (qv).
The Stud now has 3 such stags and several hinds of the same lineage. The property is a 100 acre grazing block which was once a dairy farm so the pasture is excellent. Red Deer are beautiful & intelligent creatures which are a joy to farm.Visitors by appointment.

Warnham Red Deer Park
Warnham Park is situated at Horsham in the County of Sussex, England. The Park has been a closed breeding unit since 1851 and holds ALL British Antler records for Red Deer. Warnham Estate has been in the Lucas Family since the beginning with Jonathan Lucas being the current incumbent.
Deer from the Park have been exported to Australia and New Zealand which has upgraded the quality of Red Deer in both countries. We are very proud to have as our sire stags several Pure Bred Warnham Park animals and the quality is apparent in the size and growth rate of their offspring.Click below to take a look!

Red Deer
Red Deer as farmed in Australia, are native to Northern Europe. The size of the animal depends largely on its origin, the largest come from Hungary, Jugoslavia and Germany, the smallest come from Scotland. As a comparison the Scottish Stag grows to around 150Kg whereas Hungarian Stags can be as large as 300Kg !
In between these sizes come Red Deer from English Parks such as Woburn Abbey and Warnham Park where, over many years and in a closed environment, the deer have been bred for size and antler conformation.
English Park Red Deer Stags (male) grow to around 250Kg and Hinds (female) to around 100Kg. Because of the Parks breeding programs, which aim for genetic improvement, animals from this source show distinctive characteristics in antler size and shape.A Red Deer Stag from Woburn Abbey
